Kaya

Kaya is an incredibly warm and gentle dog for whom being close to people seems to be the most natural thing in the world. She loves being near us, loves affection and cuddles, and will happily settle as close as she possibly can — sometimes it seems that the concept of personal space was definitely not invented for her.

Despite her affectionate nature, Kaya is still a true Corgi — intelligent, attentive and always well aware of what is happening around her. She is deeply people-oriented and values not only being nearby, but genuine interaction. Kaya makes it especially easy to see just how different dogs of the same breed can be: where one may prefer to keep a little distance, Kaya will choose a cuddle without hesitation.

Kaya became the mother of our Zoe, and today her line continues in the next generation of Holy Paws. Kaya herself has completed her breeding career and can now devote herself to the most important role of all — simply being a beloved dog and a full member of our family.

To us, Kaya is first and foremost a dog with an enormous heart. Gentle, trusting and incredibly affectionate, she reminds us that our relationship with dogs is about much more than training, dog shows and plans for the future. Sometimes the most precious thing is simply a dog who comes over, snuggles up against you and makes one thing perfectly clear: my place is here, right beside you.
