Litter D — Dynasty: Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies, 2026

We are expecting Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies!

In early November, Holy Paws is expecting our very first Cardigan Welsh Corgi litter — and the first litter of our Tory, Sababa Shire Karma Vic Tory, Champion of Israel.

The sire of the future puppies is Pi-Et-Ra of Trefilio BornToBe Don Papa, or simply Scooby — a Cardigan from Hungary with an impressive international show career. He is a Champion of Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Croatia and Israel, a Hungarian Grand Champion and Hungarian Show Champion, as well as an International Junior Champion. His achievements include 41 BOBs, group placements and Best in Show wins as a puppy. Scooby has also successfully passed the FCI NHAT with an Excellent rating, demonstrating excellent herding instinct.

When we learned that Scooby would be coming to Israel for several months, the opportunity immediately caught our attention. Breeding to a dog abroad usually involves much more complicated logistics, while this time an interesting male from Hungary happened to be right here.

Of course, a fortunate coincidence alone is not enough when choosing a breeding pair. We studied Tory’s and Scooby’s pedigrees, how they complement each other and their coefficient of inbreeding, but most importantly, we looked at the dogs themselves: their type, anatomy, movement and overall breed character.

And here the story unexpectedly came full circle.

Scooby’s breeder, Alexandra Trefán-Török, was already familiar with Tory: in spring 2025, she judged the Cardigan specialty show in Israel, where a very young Tory was awarded Best Baby and Best Baby in Show.

Now Alexandra also supported our choice of this pairing, noting that Tory and Scooby complement each other well in type, head and construction.

And in early October, we finally received the news we had been waiting for: Tory’s pregnancy was confirmed.

How many little ones she is hiding will remain her secret for now; we will find out closer to the birth.

The litter will have the letter D and the name Dynasty — inspired by the British royal dynasty and everything associated with it (yes, yes, we do remember that the Queen had Pembrokes, but we decided to take a broader view 😀).

Now all we have to do is wait and see what this dynasty will be like. 🤎

Reservations for this litter are open — contact us via the reservation form on the site and we’ll add you to the waiting list.
