Would you like to meet our new star? Or, more accurately, our dark matter… or maybe even a black hole? 😄
In fact, that's exactly what she'll be called...
Meet **Holy Paws Black Hole Sun**.
Or simply **Sol**.
Why Sol? Because *sol* means "sun," and because *solo* — she was the one and only puppy.
Once again, our Ivy has managed to produce a tiny black hole:
"Four puppies? No. Two puppies? No.
Concentrate the entire litter's mass into a single object."
It seems she decided to end her breeding career in her own signature style:
"You wanted a litter? Here you go — an exclusive limited edition. I've already explained my breeding strategy: one, but a really good one."
And here's how the name came about.
Ever since the ultrasound, we suspected that we'd have another singleton puppy. If it had been a boy, we would have named him **Saul** 🙂. Since she turned out to be a girl, she became **Sol**, which is where her everyday name comes from.
As for her registered name, **Black Hole Sun**, the explanation is just as simple:
🐶 Sol is a tricolor, so she really is a "black sun."
🐶 She is the only puppy, having seemingly absorbed the entire litter — and all the space in the uterus.
🐶 After the ultrasound and X-rays, it honestly felt as though Ivy had developed her own little gravitational anomaly inside.
